A Short Story by Alfred L. Freiburger           I was a C54 Pilot assigned to the 14th Troop Carrier Squadron               of the 61st Troop Carrier Group based at Rhein-Main Air Force               Base in Frankfurt, Germany.                 I was stationed there from March to November 1949.  During that               time I was lucky enough to be chosen to work with 20th Century               Fox in making a movie about the Berlin Airlift. The Movie was               Named "THE BIG LIFT" direected by George Seaton . The American               actors were Montgomery Cliff and Paul Douglas. It was very interesting               to say the least, to have a speaking part in the movie. It was alot               more fun and cleaner than flying
