EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ME
    THE WEBMASTER

I consider this web site my own little Airlift. What I mean by that, is that no one ever imagined ( including myself ) that I could put together such a Large and complex Web Site Using outdated technology...(an old 486 computer)

My name is Mark Vaughn, I am the son of Jim and Gladys Vaughn and was born in Cheyenne Wyoming. My father was a member of the United States Air Force from 1946 until 1966. I am very proud of my father and his accomplishments throughout his life, but most importantly I am proud to say he was part of the Air Force when it was young and just starting out. He was  part of many historical firsts in the Air Force, but I am most proud of the fact that he served during the Berlin Airlift.

I think that this a major reason why I joined the Air Force in 1989. I am currently stationed at Nellis A.F.B. in Las Vegas and I work as a dental technician. I have long been interested in military history and have recently been made an honorary lifetime member of the Berlin Airlift Veterans Association to try to help spread the history of this GREAT humanitarian and aviation first. It was our first test of the Cold War and we hope that history will never see anything like this happen again.

I personally wanted to find some way of thanking the men and women who have served and are still serving our nation. Even though at times we may feel like our country doesn't need us, we can be proud of the fact that when we are called upon to do a job we will be there to accomplish the mission, so that our citizens back home can sleep safely and know that their country is well protected!

                  Sincerely,
                  Mark Vaughn
