WAM Safety Marshal: Roland (Rollie) Lyford
Roland (Rollie) Lyford, I was born in 53 and grew up in maine, I owned and flew a
piper colt my first airplane and I then went to a piper cherokee and I have flown and landed in every
airport in maine usually with a few guys for breckfast or brunch but I have always wanted to fly rc
airplanes but it was not a popular hobby in maine, must have been the cold, it is something that I
have wanted to do forever and when I came to utah several years ago the first thing I seen was a
field and planes above at south davis, the next day I joined the club and have been flying since.
