HOW THE WAM AND AMA DUES WORK FOR US




1. AMA MEMBERSHIP DUES.

  1. AMA member liability insurance.
  2. Monthly AMA model aviation magazine.
  3. World-wide privileges for most AMA sanctioned events, and we have the privilege of attending open house events with other AMA chartered clubs.
  4. AMA membership qualifies us for a membership application to all AMA chartered clubs.

2. WAM MEMBERSHIP DUES.

  1. Flying field privileges of AMA # 1350 chartered club.
  2. Pays for WAM club's AMA charter.
  3. Pays for AMA flying site owners special liability insurance.
  4. Pays for flying site land lease fees.
  5. Pays for flying site maintenance.
  6. Pays for WAM club's secretarial requirements.
  7. Helps pay for WAM club's activities.
  8. Pays for WAM web site.

3. WAM CLUB'S EQUITY ASSESSMENT FEE.

  1. The senior pilot equity assessment fee, established January 1st 1997, is used only for the purchase of major club equipment required for our flying field maintenance. All model aircraft clubs in our area require new senior members to pay an initiation fee, although some are very high and some are lower than the WAM club fee.

4. WAM MEMBERSHIP.

  1. The WAM club has both senior members and junior members, and is family oriented to serve the local community. The WAM club does not have a membership cap, but do to the location of our flying site and size of our parking area the club membership may require a limit in the future. The WAM club members welcomes you to join our club and fly off of the finest model airport grass runway in Utah.
